If there is a voice in your head keeping a tally of everything you did not get to, everything you think you should be doing better, I would like to gently turn down its volume for a moment. Because from where I am standing, you are doing far better than you believe.
You are showing up. You are caring for people and things. You are getting through days that are not always easy, with grace that you rarely give yourself credit for. Most of us are far harder on ourselves than the facts deserve, and I suspect you are no exception.
So today, ease up on yourself. You do not have to be perfect, or productive, or endlessly capable. You just have to be here, doing your gentle best, which is exactly what you are already doing. That is enough. You are enough.
