Harold & Louise – From Pen Pals to Partners

Harold, 80, and Louise, 77, began writing letters through a senior friendship exchange program. Their first letters were short, polite, and mostly about the weather. But soon, they were sending each other memories, recipes, and jokes. After a year, Harold suggested they meet in person. Louise says she knew the moment she saw him waiting at the café door that he was “her person.” They now split their time between his cottage and her city apartment, calling it “the best of both worlds.”
